Mary is a skilled and experienced health care provider, working in critical care and the emergency department for many years as an RN, and in primary care as a nurse practitioner. She places a high priority on listening, helping establish a relationship of trust, and working with her patients to optimize healthy lifestyle choices. Mary sees educating her patients about medical conditions and treatment options so they can make informed choices as a vital part of primary care. She was recognized by the Wisconsin Nurses Association as Advanced Practice Nurse of the year in 2012. In 2018, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners awarded Mary with a state award of excellence. Mary enjoys caring for children through seniors, managing chronic conditions, acute illnesses and injuries. Special interests are promotion of healthy lifestyle, women’s health care, and public health policy. She also enjoys spending time with her family; loves camping, kayaking, biking, gardening, home improvement activities, and reading.
